Delhi’s Minister for Art, Culture, and Development, Kapil Mishra said on Thursday that the government is working with total commitment for the holistic and balanced development of the national capital, taking concrete steps in areas such as justice, culture, rural development, labour welfare, and innovation.
He informed that all departments have been instructed to ensure that the foundation and inauguration of all key schemes are completed by August 31 so that the public can directly benefit from these initiatives.

Mishra chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials from the departments of Tourism, Art, Culture & Languages, Law & Justice, Labor, Employment, and Development were present. The meeting’s objective was to review the progress of ongoing and proposed schemes under the ministry and to formulate an action plan for their prompt implementation.
Key schemes discussed during the meeting in detail include various rural development projects to be launched under the Delhi Rural Development Board, and several other initiatives.
Mishra also announced that ‘Atal Canteens’ will be established under the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, where nutritious meals will be made available to workers at highly subsidized rates.
According to him, employment fairs will be organized in a new and more practical format to better align employer requirements with youth expectations.
Additionally, the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) policy will be launched to boost creative industries in Delhi.
Mishra further informed that a Creative Economic Forum will be organized for creative leaders, policy makers, entrepreneurs and innovators.
In the field of cow welfare, a significant initiative is being taken with plans for establishing a Cow Sanctuary and forming a Cow Welfare Commission/ Board.
Moreover, initiatives such as the Revenue Generation Court Project, the establishment of a Mediation Cell to promote Alternative Dispute Resolution, launch of a ‘Talent Hunt Scheme’ to identify creative youth, and others have also been proposed.
